Cymande Special Edition Cover (Fictional)

Designed a special release 12-inch album cover. I chose to center the project around Cymande, a 1970s 
British funk group known for their layered instrumentation and Afro-Caribbean influences. 

The visual concept draws inspiration from the aesthetics of thermal heat maps—tools used to visualize energy, movement, and intensity. I applied these elements into a design that reflects the rhythmic flow, vibrant soundscapes and energy of Cymande's catalog of music. 

The result is a cover that visually captures the band’s dynamic presence and timeless groove, using vibrant gradients, contour lines, and color temperature to express sound through
a spatial and atmospheric lens.
